Valentine’s Day is all about showing the love to those special people in your life. So, we’ve come up with a few ways you can dial up the romance without breaking the budget.
#1 Get comfy for the occasion
If a great night in is your idea of romantic evening, why not have a little fun in the process. Grab matching pyjamas for you and your partner from Peter Alexander and spend the night cuddled-up on the couch.
#2 Date night dinner
A Valentine’s Day dinner doesn’t have to break the bank. Sometimes just getting out of the house for a bite to eat breaks the routine and gives you some alone time together. Reserve a table in-centre at your favourite restaurant and finish the evening off with an ice-cream or sweet treat.
#3 Sweets for your sweetheart
Nothing says ‘I love you’ like a box of fancy chocolates or a delicious pastry or cake from Miss Maud. And the great thing about this gift is you get to share in the love. Yum.
#4 Everyone loves being pampered
Treat your Valentine to some self-care. Book them a little spa treatment, a time to get their nails done, or a relaxing massage from House of Jing and they’ll thank you over and over.
#5 The one gift challenge
How well do you think you know your partner? And how well do they know you? Here’s a fun way to find out as well as adding a touch of spontaneity and surprise to the day. Set a challenge where you have 30 minutes to find a gift in-centre, with a set budget and let the Valentine fun begin.
#6 Swap wish lists
If you’re on a tighter budget this year, it doesn’t have to ruin all the fun. Write each other a Valentine’s Day wish list for some budget-friendly gifts and you’ll both be reminded of your loved one every day.
#7 Let your love sparkle
Bring the sparkle this Valentine’s Day by dazzling your partner with some jewellery from Goldmark. You could even go all out with a new matching outfit for a complete Valentine’s Day makeover.
#8 DIY flower bouquet
Stop by a florist and create a custom bouquet. Choose their favourite colours and flowers to make a Valentine’s Day bunch that they’ll love.
#9 Bake a sweet treat for your love
Tell your Valentine how much they really mean to you. Bake some heart-shaped cookies and then write personalised messages in icing that let them know that you think they’re the best.
#10 A movie’s a must
If you haven’t been to the movies in a while, then Valentine’s Day is the perfect excuse to go out and catch a film. Enjoy some of the new movie releases and book a session at Ace Cinemas.
A little act of love goes a long way and at Rockingham Centre we’ve got you covered this Valentine’s Day.
